Implementation of Two Dimensional Experimental Results to Three Dimensional Model for a Symmetrical Body

For a symmetrical body, such as the wind lens shown in the figure, the drag, lift and moment coefficients with respect to the incident angle can be obtained from wind tunnel tests in xy-plane. However, in numerical model, the body would move in 6-dof and the calculation of loads would require some tips. A load calculation method based on quasi-steady theory is implemented in Simulink S-function. The coefficients are required to be saved as “Parashroud.h” file. In addition, the air density, diameter and projected area of the body should be set for the program.
